Why does mould develop?

Mould in the home is often caused by high humidity and poor ventilation, which creates ideal conditions for mould growth if the humidity in rooms remains consistently high .

Inadequate ventilation prevents damp air from escaping, leading to mould growth. Rooms such as bathrooms, kitchens and cellars are particularly affected. In addition, leaks in roofs, windows or pipes can allow moisture to penetrate walls and ceilings, encouraging the growth of mould.

							Great.. I installed 2 plates behind the kitchen because I noticed mould stains on the outer wall when I was removing the kitchen moulding from the floor. The plates are so nicely narrow that I was able to place them under the cupboards against the outer wall using the feet. The stains have dried out.. Tip: I also built two small ventilation ducts into the worktop.. which helps it to dry out.. I think the product is very good..

I now have a heater in every outside corner of my ground floor, and they have been running for about 3 months in the winter. Since then, I have had no more mould problems. 							Mould in the bathroom: that's how it all started. I discovered Moulddry and soon after I decided to order the M1 and M2 with extension. Of course, these products cost a bit more without chemicals, but in the long run, including electricity costs, they are the cheapest way to protect your health. The delivery was very fast, as was the installation. As the mould had spread under the ceiling from one corner of the walls and from a window, I positioned and mounted the units according to the instructions, so that the M1 unit was right above the window and the M2 unit on the other wall, so that the circulation could be carried out correctly. After repeated humidity measurements, the mould disappeared, at least apparently. However, as the cause of the mould formation from the outside has not yet been remedied, I will continue to use the devices, as they clearly work for me and also penetrate deep into the stone or brick. This is my conclusion after 3 months and therefore a clear purchase recommendation!

							I discovered this product by chance and thought it was a great alternative to the usual mould spray. We have two children and who wants to spray chlorine around? We currently have 4 Mould Dryers in use and what can I say, it works and with really low power consumption and without the annoying chlorine smell.Des Weiteren gibt es einen sehr freundlichen Kundenservice. 							Good things don't always have to be complicated. As is the case with this product. The heater is quick and easy to install. Either by using the feet provided or by mounting it on the wall. Then all you need is an electrical socket.

I put the heater to work for the first week. After that, it was always on a daily or hourly basis. The easiest way to do this was with an interspersed timer.

And it worked. There are no longer any mould spots on the affected wall.

My personal tip: I also connected a dehumidifier to the timer mentioned, as the wall is in the basement and proper ventilation through the windows is not possible.

Preparation

Mould-DRY is ready for immediate use without much preparation. You can wipe the mould stain with a natural product to prepare.

How does Mould-DRY work?

Mould-DRY heats up on the back and the front.
The heat from the back penetrates into the masonry and dries the wall using the capillary effect.
A wall dries by capillary action like a blotting paper. No matter where you start to dry the blotting paper, the moisture is drawn to that point and dries there.
The heat generated at the front forms a thermal blanket in front of the wall and supports capillary drying.

Will mould disappear with Mould-DRY?

Mold-Dry will not make mould fall off the wall.
As the wall dries out completely, the mould is deprived of its basis for life (moisture) and dies. The surface mould stain becomes lighter and can be cleaned or painted over if necessary.
You can compare it to a pair of trousers after kneeling in wet soil: once the stain has dried, it becomes lighter in colour and the residue can be cleaned off the trousers.

How can Mould-DRY save more energy than it consumes?

Energy remains energy!

The heat produced by Mould-DRY warms your room. Your main heating system will have to work less while maintaining the same temperature.

There is another important factor at play here – the SAVING of energy!

Damp walls are not only a breeding ground for mould, they are also bad for the indoor climate and increase heating costs.
Increased moisture in the masonry alters the natural insulating properties and increasingly expensive heat energy is wasted by escaping through the damp walls. Moisture causes the wall to act as a heat conductor, as water conducts energy up to 28 times faster than air.
As a rule of thumb, a moisture penetration of just 4% reduces the insulation capacity by half. At 10%, the thermal insulation value is only a quarter, leading to a massive increase in heating costs.
For every one percent increase in wall dryness with Mould-DRY, you not only prevent mould, you also save heating costs and therefore money.

Where is Mould-DRY produced?

Mould-DRY is 100% manufactured in Austria.
Some of the raw materials come from Italy and Germany.
All other components – even the cables – come from Austria, Carinthia, and are carefully processed at the foot of Hochosterwitz Castle.
