Mould in the living room
A hidden health risk
Mould in the home is a serious health risk, especially in the living room. Thermal bridges, inadequate heating and ventilation as well as construction defects create ideal conditions for mould. The causes are often structural defects and poor insulation.
Dangers of mould infestation
Why is mould in the living room dangerous?
Living rooms are often infested with mould, which can lead to significant health problems and structural damage.
The living room is a place where the whole family spends time. This is where we spend around 40% of our time with the people we love. This makes it all the more dangerous when mould growth occurs in this room, as the spores can cause health problems.
This is precisely why the mould problem must be tackled as tackled as soon as it occurs. Superficial solutions offer short-term relief. However, if you want to eliminate the mould permanently and prevent it from reappearing, you have to tackle its cause in core of the wall.
01
Health risks
Mould spores in the living room can trigger allergies, asthma and other respiratory diseases, as this room is used intensively.
02
Well-being
Mould infestation in the living room can lead to discomfort and a deterioration in general well-being, resulting in a reduced quality of life.
03
Long-term exposure
As the living room is often the most frequently used room in the home, there is a high risk of exposure to mould spores, which increases the likelihood of health problems.
The problem
Causes of mould growth in the living room
Mould growth often occurs at cold bridges where warm, moist air condenses on cool surfaces. Factors such as indoor plants, aquariums or drying clothes indoors as well as dampness behind furniture can also increase the humidity and thus increase the risk of mould growth. Poorly insulated exterior walls or leaky windows can also lead to condensation and provide breeding ground for new mould growth.
The solution to mould
How Mould-DRY works
Mould-DRY is an environmentally friendly and effective method of combating mould in your living rooms. This innovative technology uses infrared heat to keep the walls dry, which improves indoor air quality and prevents future mould infestation. In contrast to conventional methods, which often only have a temporary effect, Mould-DRY removes the moisture from the walls without the use of chemicals.
This sustainable drying process eliminates mould permanently. Mould-DRY is particularly easy to install and requires no specialist knowledge.
Sustainability & efficiency
Mould-DRY
Mould-DRY offers an effective and sustainable solution to mould infestation in the living room. This advanced technology keeps the walls dry through the use of infrared heat, which ensures a long-term improvement in indoor air quality and prevents future mould infestation.
Unlike conventional methods, which often only have a short-term effect, Mould-DRY removes the moisture from the walls without the use of chemical substances. This sustainable drying process permanently removes the basis of life for mould.
Health protection
Mould-DRY effectively controls mould, minimises health risks and creates a safe living environment. It eliminates not only the superficial symptoms but also the cause of the problem, providing effective prevention of mould.
Free from Chemicals
Mould-DRY works without chemical substances and is therefore environmentally friendly, unlike various other surface solutions.
Sustainability
Mould-DRY is a permanent and effective method of mould control that keeps your home mould-free for the long term. As it removes the moisture deep within the wall core, it also prevents the reappearance of mould.

How does Mould-DRY work?
Mould-DRY heats on the back and front.
The heat from the back penetrates into the masonry and dries out the wall via the capillary effect.
A wall dries via capillary action like a blotting paper. No matter where you start to dry the blotting paper, the moisture is drawn to this point and dries there.
The heat produced at the front forms a thermal blanket in front of the wall and supports capillary drying.
Does mould disappear with Mould-DRY?
Mould-DRY prevents the mould from falling off the wall.
The mould is deprived of its basis of life (moisture) as the wall is completely dried and it dies. The superficial mould stain now becomes lighter and can be cleaned or, if necessary, painted over.
Comparable to a pair of trousers when you kneel in wet soil: as soon as the stain has dried, it becomes lighter in colour and the residue can be cleaned off the trousers.
Why does Mould-DRY save more energy than it consumes?
- Energy remains energy!
The heat generated by Mould-DRY remains in the room, which means that your main heating system consumes less energy.
- However, there is another important point here – the SAVING of energy!
Damp walls are not only a breeding ground for mould, they are also bad for the indoor climate and increase heating costs.
An increased moisture content in the masonry changes the natural insulating properties and the increasingly expensive heat energy escapes uselessly through the damp walls. The moisture ensures that the masonry works like a heat conductor, as water conducts energy up to 28 times faster than air.
As a rule of thumb, it can be said that a moisture penetration of only 4% reduces the insulation capacity by half. At 10%, the thermal insulation value is only a quarter, which leads to a massive increase in heating costs. Every one per cent increase in wall dryness with Mould-DRY not only prevents mould, but also saves heating costs and therefore money.
Does Mold-Dry also combat the feeling of a "cold wall" in the room?
