Established in 2002

Our history

The idea for Mould-DRY came from the practical experience and expertise of Elias Heiztechnik GmbH, which has been advising customers on heating systems for over 18 years. In the course of our work, we noticed that many of our customers regularly had to deal with mould problems. This recurring problem led to the founding of Mould-DRY and the development of a sustainable solution against mould.

2002

Our vision was to offer durable and efficient energy-saving technologies, as energy costs account for a significant proportion of household expenditures. We were one of the first companies in Central Europe to produce and sell high-quality, efficient and durable infrared heating systems.

2010

At that time, it became apparent that infrared heaters offered the greatest energy-saving potential for households. In order to achieve meaningful savings, the use of technical equipment with high efficiency levels was essential. There was hardly any competition in the field of high-quality infrared heaters, and knowledge of the physical background and functioning of infrared technology was not widespread among the population.
Many new trading companies brought Asian infrared products onto the market, which were cheap but did not fulfil customer expectations. We therefore decided to develop the most efficient and sustainable infrared products and manufacture them 100% in Austria.

2012

Our company achieved a breakthrough in the efficiency of infrared heaters by utilising innovative coating technologies for heating purposes. For the first time, it was possible to design electric space heaters without heating wires, coils, heavy insulating materials and housings so efficiently that they could emit the electrical energy as radiant heat with virtually no loss.
Thanks to the co-operation with suppliers and manufacturing companies from German-speaking countries, we were able to produce 100% domestic products of the highest efficiency and quality. This also marked the birth of Mould-DRY, a compact drying device for humid areas. Mould-DRY offers an efficient and sustainable method of eliminating moisture damage and combating or preventing mould without the use of large drying appliances – even in the home.

2016

In the spirit of sustainability, we revitalised a 250-year-old stable building in Launsdorf/Carinthia, idyllically situated next to a river and with a view of Hochosterwitz Castle. This meant that no new buildings had to be erected or soil sealed. Our employees produce, pack and dispatch Mould-DRY in a place that is not industrially overloaded and offers new energy and motivation every day.
A patented coating technology consisting of nano-tubes, which we developed together with a renowned German institute, was used for Mould-DRY for the first time.

2019

After Mould-DRY had started its triumphal march, it was time for an expansion and a product relaunch. The glass plates previously used for the heaters were replaced by quartz-ceramic plates, which further improved the radiation properties and appearance.
Our factory has been technologically upgraded so that we can handle the entire manufacturing process – from cutting and grinding the heating plates to coating, manufacturing and assembling the electrical components – entirely in Austria. Everything from a single source – Made in Austria.

2023

The continued success of Mould-DRY, with over 10,000 orders per month, required additional measures in quality control and the optimisation of various production and logistics processes. We also installed photovoltaic systems so that we can now manufacture our products 100% carbon-neutral and environmentally friendly thanks to our own PV systems and hydropower.

2024

Due to the increasing demand for our products internationally, we implemented additional production facilities and quality management processes at the beginning of 2024. In addition to the required product and company certifications, this now enables us to expand further in Europe and also deliver to the USA.
